Fulfilling the individual needs of each student.

Academic Excellence Since 1985

Cornerstone Montessori School excels at providing children in Kindergarten through to Grade 7 with a strong foundation to their education. Our students are in an environment that nurtures the whole child, celebrates inclusion, and embraces innovation. Cornerstone staff take pride in igniting the internal spark in each and every child, which leads to social, emotional and academic success!

Academics

The curriculum is designed to stimulate the interest of students and awaken their sense of wonder and amazement, setting the stage for meaningful education.

Philosophy

Our educational approach is rooted in Montessori philosophy, committed to traditional values, whilst incorporating progressive education practices.

Small Class Sizes

By maintaining classes with a low student teacher ratio, Cornerstone children receive significant individual attention. Our classes have no more than 15 students per teacher.

Admissions

The admissions process at Cornerstone School offers the opportunity for you and your child to become better acquainted with the school’s staff and programs. We invite parents and students to visit the school and learn about the ‘Montessori method’ and the unique programs offered at Cornerstone School.

Learning

Preschool

Cornerstone’s preschool currently remains closed, and will not be re-opening.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a very important year for the child. It is in this year that all the work done in the past two years comes to fruition and many children ‘explode’ into reading and writing.

Primary

Cornerstone teachers challenge students with advanced concepts, delve more deeply into curriculum content, and move significantly beyond the required curriculum.

Intermediate

Our intermediate program takes all of our values and philosophy from our primary program, and incorporates it into a more traditional style of education.
