Small Class Sizes
At Cornerstone, our classrooms are large in square footage, and our student teacher ratio, is low.
Kindergarten: 12 students per teacher
Primary: 15 students per teacher
Intermediate: 18 students per teacher
Cornerstone teachers put in great effort at delivering small group lessons and providing work for each student that is tailored to their needs. Students who excel with learning material beyond the curriculum for their grade level, are continually challenged with academic work beyond the prescribed learning outcomes by the provincial guidelines.
Likewise, if a student is struggling with a learning concept, their teacher will provide work tailored to their needs, and will often repeat a lesson one on one, in an effort for the child to successfully understand a concept.
